Fuddruckers Hamburger Seasoning

For 25 years Fuddruckers has been serving huge, cooked-when-ordered beef patties on freshly baked buns. You decorate your hamburger creation with sliced tomato, onions, lettuce, pickles, peppers, relish and whatever else is offered at the toppings bar. Everyone builds their burger differently, yet the company claims these are "The Worlds Greatest Hamburgers." What makes them so good? Fuddruckers boasts that it uses only 100% USDA choice, aged ground beef. What Fuddruckers won't tell you is which secret ingredients make up the delicious burger seasoning used on each of those patties. After analyzing a sample of the blend used in the shakers back by the griddle, I've come up with this simple clone which you can now mix up at home, and pour into an empty shaker bottle. Sprinkle it onto 1/3- or 1/2-pound ground beef patties just before they cook, then grab some fresh buns in the bakery section of your store. Add your choice of other fresh toppings, and you'll soon have a hamburger clone that tastes just like those served at the more than 230 Fuddruckers.

Found this by googling. I was looking for something to dress up bland turkey burgers. I mixed Worcestershire sauce and a little A1 Original into the ground turkey, then liberally added the spice mix while pan frying. Needless to say, we are having it again tonight. I will cut down the measurements just a bit on the black pepper and cayenne, though. It wasn't overbearing, but it did stand out in taste a bit more than I like.
Put it on anything!!!

The first time I made this, I followed the directions exactly.. This time, I followed the recipe except I used larger portions & doubled up on the brown sugar.. Both mixes are really yummy! This has been my 'go to' mix for about 3-4 months. Love it!!

I've used this recipe twice now. I thought maybe the first time it was so good because we were all really hungry. Nope, this blend makes the best darn tasting burger ever. I used light brown sugar because it was what I had on hand. Not sure if that made much of a difference, either way.....OMG! I will never make burgers without it again! So simple, who knew?!

Been using this recipe in my restaraunt for over a year now.Not one complaint, just people remarking how tasy the burgers are.Seems to work well on grilled chicken as well.

I've been using this recipe for a while and it's great, but I just made up a batch with smoked paprika instead of regular paprika. Wow, it takes it to a whole new level. Smoked paprika can be hard to find, but if you get your hand on it, wow!
Simple but GOOD!

I thought the recipe seemed very basic but was very happy with the flavor of the burgers. I used 15/85 ground beef in slider style patties and mixed the seasoning ingredient to a T! I cooked mine on a counter top griddle and seasoned both sides of the patties with the seasoning and they turned out perfect. Remember it has sugar so make sure you have control of your heat source. For added joy I used Hawaiian rolls but in all honesty we could have served them on 3 week old buns and they still would have bee

Thank you! Thank!.....I was searching for grilled flavor without actually grilling. I love that I already had all these spices and do I have to run across town for something special. I used ground turkey. THESE BURGERS ARE THE CATS MEOW! YESSSS! I will never make another burger with this......thinking of making a few batches in pretty little jars as Memorial Day party favors.....thank you for this recipe.

I usually grill my burgers, but it was cold and rainy out and the hubby was having nothing to do with it so I but them in the frypan not expecting them to taste this good. The sugar carmalized so nicely on both sides.. Thanks for the recipe..

As someone who has only been to Fuddruckers twice in my life, I gotta admit this recipe was "ono" (delicious in Hawaiian). I just made this for my daughter, and she loved it! Super easy to make; I made 6 times the recipe so I could use it liberally when I pan fried my half ground beef/half ground pork mixture in the cast iron skillet. Just sprinkled it on both sides and fried on medium heat. I even stuffed the middle with cheddar cheese and it added to the flavor of this burger! Super easy
Not too bad!!!!!

Made this for the family, without the cayenne & black pepper (a family member have sensitive insides) & feeding a toddler here. They were delicious, my toddler had seconds & there were no leftovers. Thank you Todd!
Nice change

I make this recipe and substitute the cayenne for a 1/8 more tsp of onion powder and an 1/8 more tsp of garlic powder because I don't care for cayenne. I use the whole recipe on 1 lb of ground chunk. Seems like a lot but don't worry it will work out. Gives burger a good sear every time.

Thought I would try this spice mix on some burgers with a couple other spice blends to compare flavor. "Steakhouse Onion burger" and "Adobo Goya" From best to worst: 1. Fuddruckers 2.onion steakhouse 3.Adobo and its not even close. This blend of spices is on point! Definitely gonna use this as my staple all spice. Just took another bite and I don't even want to eat the other burgers without this on it. Thank you for this recipe. So simple yet so good.
We loved it!

I surprised my family with this one night and every one wanted seconds. I can't wait to use it again.
Oh wow!!!
Submitted on: 05/13/13
Wow that is awesome!! I seriously can't believe that just produced burgers like that! For the first time I used NOTHING in my ground beef. Straight from the package, into patties. Season with as much of this spice as you want, and put the patties in the fridge for about an hour to re-firm the shape, then make sure they get a good sear and only turn once. This seriously tasted like the burger version of a perfectly done steak! This spice alongside my badass grill, all I can say is THANKS!!! Gri
Use it on everything!

Wanted to find something a bit different for some burgers and this did not disappoint! It is awesome! The addition of brown sugar really makes it special. Do not skip that! I like to add it onto practically everything, even tofu. It's that good!

Excellent! I want to suggest that you wash and save used spice bottles that have shaker holes on the top. That way, you can mix the spices together and sprinkle the seasoning on the hamburgers more efficiently. I'm going to give this seasoning a try on steak. Also, this might be good on chicken blended with a little terayki sauce.
