2 years ago, I was so thrilled when I found your site and the recipe for this soup that I love so much. I was so excited, I ran out and bought the masa harina right away so I could make it and it was fabulous... My family loves it, my friends love it and I'm always a hit at potlucks.

The only thing I do differently than the recipe, is that I add a bit more enchilada sauce and a bit more chicken broth. It makes more soup, and gives it a richer, spicier flavor. After finally having the real thing at the restaurant, my husband decided that he likes the one we make at home better!

By now, I'm a regular devotee. I've bought all the books and the steak rub. I live in San Diego and we used to plan Saturday trips to LA, just to have Tommy's amazing chili burgers for lunch. Now that I have the books, we're looking forward to making Tommy burgers at home! I use the steak rub, not just on steaks, but in my meatloaf as well. It really gives it a great extra kick, and no one can figure out what I'm doing differently, but they like it even more than they did before.
