Surely when Dave Thomas opened his first Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers restaurant in 1969 and named it after his daughter, he never imagined the tremendous success and growth his hamburger chain would realize. He also could not have known that in 1989 he would begin starring in a series of television ads that would give Wendy's the biggest customer awareness level since it famous "Wheres the beef?" campaign. |
