Taco Bell Enchirito (Improved)

Since Taco Bell brought the Enchirito back from the dead a couple years ago the product's formula has changed a bit. With the exclusion of the sliced black olives on top, plus a few other minor changes, this recipe copies the "new" formulation of the chain's enchilada/burrito fusion product first introduced in the early 60s. The technique for preparation has also been improved from the recipe found in the first Top Secret Recipes book and published here on the site. So, until Taco Bell changes it again, this is the ultimate clone that makes enough for an entire family of Enchirito lovers. With or without the olives.

Been missing these at Taco Bell. This recipe is pretty much right on. And with the recipe for the taco sauce--Nirvana. And it makes a pan full for so reasonable. You gotta have the olives!76433

As someone who LOVED enchiritos to a probably unhealthy level, and someone who worked there in the "Good ole days" (mid 80s) I will tell you this recipe is spot on. I saw this recipe2 days ago and said "I MUST DO THIS...." Thank you so much. Totally hit the spot. Now if I just had some of the old taco sauce..... i think that recipe is here somewhere too, right? hahha
NAILED IT!

Delicious, simple, and fast. The texture of the meat is fantastic and I'll use this method from now on whenever I make something calling for seasoned ground beef. Husband is a big fan of the TB enchirito (our TB doesn't have it on the menu but will make it if you just ask!) and really loved it.

I went to Taco Bell today to order and they said as of yesterday, they are no longer making them. So sad, I have been eating them since I was little and I'm 46! Thanks so much for this recipe so I can make them on my own now!!!

I made this recipe for my Step-brother when he came home from being stationed overseas with the Navy. He loved it! He continually asks for it. But I do admit I will still go the lazy man way and buy two or three :)

Absolutely perfect!! I will never buy taco seasoning again! I cooked the meat as directed and made Bellbeefers with shredded cheese, diced onions, and taco bell sauce on hamburger buns. Took me right back to my childhood days of Taco Bell bellbeefers.
