Order an entree from America's largest seafood restaurant chain and you'll get a basket of some of the planet's tastiest garlic-cheese biscuits served up on the side. For many years this recipe has been the most-searched-for clone recipe on the Internet, according to Red Lobster. As a result, several versions are floating around, including one that was at one time printed right on the box of Bisquick baking mix.

The problem with making biscuits using Bisquick is that if you follow the directions from the box you don't end up with a very fluffy or flakey finished product, since most of the fat in the recipe comes from the shortening that's included in the mix. On its own, room temperature shortening does a poor job creating the light, airy texture you want from good biscuits, and it contributes little in the way of flavor. So, we'll invite some cold butter along on the trip -- with grated Cheddar cheese and a little garlic powder. Now you'll be well on your way to delicious Cheddar Bay. Wherever that is.

Never thought I'd make a biscuit like Red Lobster. It came out exactly the same. Easy to make. Will make them again--FOR SURE

I made these and they were awesome. I mixed it up a little and added crumbled bacon and fresh chopped chive and they are decadent.

I made these today and it was right on. I put them in for 350 degrees as well. I did however change the butter. I used Brummel and Brown instead of butter. There is a slightly different flavor but not much. Excellent :)

I have made my 5th batch and everyone that comes over rates them better than Red Lobster. They are easy to make and are Great tasting Biscuits...I cooked them at 400 and for 17 minutes. I let then set for about 15 minutes and remove then from my baking sheet pan.. They are great.. I do use a little extra garlic powder in the melted butter and top them off with parsley flakes...YUM YUM!!

I made them today, the only thing they got a little too brown on the bottom, next time i'm going to try cooking them on 350 instead of 400. They tast just like red lobster's. Love them!!!!!!!!

I made these on Christmas for our "not so traditional" Christmas dinner. Everyone loved them and even said they were better than the ones at Red Lobster. I made them again the next day because we couldn't get enough.

I made these for my family today and was amazed at how simple this recipe is. You really can't screw this up! Difference was that I used pancake mix, shredded, not grated, cheddar, and 2% milk. Still turned out great and I impressed my family!!

This is one of my favorite recipes. A friend of ours used to work for Red Lobster and he was stunned when I made these for him. The entire family is always asking, "are you making the Red Lobster biscuits tonight?" You can not go wrong if you follow the recipe..so easy and so good

I have been making these for a couple of years and the recipe is dead on. The thing people need to remember is drop them and not roll them out. This is the perfect clone.

Superb! My family loves garlic, so I've substituted 1 teaspoon minced garlic (the kind that comes in a jar) for the 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder in the biscuits. And when I'm out of parsley, I use a bit of dried dill weed instead. Doesn't really change the flavor, and it looks nice.

I suck at making recipes, and even screwing up the recipe as bad as I do, these are amazingly good and like Red Lobsters.

I went to Red Lobster last night and loved the biscuits; I had to have more, so I decided to try and make them. This recipe was wonderful. I didn't have whole milk so I used 1% milk. I think whole milk would have been better, but the 1% milk did a great job. I highly recommend this recipe.

Oh my, these are fabulous! Just like the real thing! I fell in love with these biscuits while on vacation in Florida. Unfortunately, we do not have a Red Lobster restaurant on the east coast of Canada so I was really missing them. That is, until I found this website! Thank you so much!!
