If you've had the Kookaburra Wings from Outback, then you've tasted the chains thick and creamy bleu cheese dressing served up on the side. Use this stuff when you need an excellent dipping sauce for your next batch of wings, or just pour it over a salad and dive in.

1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons buttermilk (or whole milk)
1 tablespoon crumbled bleu cheese
1/8 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

1. Mix all ingredients together by hand in a small bowl until smooth.

2. Cover and chill for 30 minutes before serving.

Makes 1 cup.

Lighten up on the mayo by 1/4 cup, and sub in sour cream :) Shhh! That was a secret.

I have made this recipe many times and it is always wonderful. You will never have to buy the bottled stuff ever again.

I have made this over and over. I use it for dipping buffalo wings and I can't get enough. No store bought dressing will ever compare.

This is the best Blue Cheese Dressing I have ever had. I don't know if it's like Outbacks, but it sure is good. For you blue cheese lovers add more Cheese.

This is the most delicious bleu cheese dressing I have ever eaten. It tastes exactly like Outback Steakhouse's dressing. When I go to Outback, I always have their blue cheese dressing on my salad and I'm so happy I can now make it at home. Love It!

Absolutely WONDERFUL!!!!!! I was not a Blue Cheese dressing person BUT I sure am now. Our son-in-law told me how good this dressing was from Outback. I looked it up on your site----made it for our Christmas dinner. It was certainly a hit. I did use more Blue Cheese than the recipe called for and I tripled the recipe and used the whole container of cheese.

I made this dressing today and I will NEVER buy a bottle of blue cheese dressing again! I did not have buttermilk, so I did use the milk with lemon juice. Excellent!! I did use a bit more blue cheese than what is called for. It was thick and creamy. Just what I was looking for. Thank you!

The best bleu cheese dressing I have ever had. You can eat this stuff with a spoon it's that good. If you don't have buttermilk, try adding a squeeze of lemon juice to the same amount of milk. The acidity really brings out the flavors.
