All right, lets say its the middle of summer and dang hot out. Wouldnt it be nice if we could whip up a little something to help keep those beads of sweat from rollin? Good enough. Check out how simple it is to recreate any of the three flavors of McDonald's thick shakes from scratch. Just three ingredients to each clone? No way! And the secret ingredient for the chocolate and strawberry flavors is Nesquik mix. How McEasy is that? Throw everything in a blender and press a button - the one on the right. And if you want your shake thicker, just put it in the freezer for a while. that's it! Creamy, frosty goodness...ahhhh.

i loved this milkshake. for the summer my family always get something to cool our selves down and to save money i always go on this website because i love to cook and so i decided to make this delicious cooloing treat for the whole family. it was exellent better than mcdonalds and i think mcdonalds isn't good because they might have old milk. bye

Thanks for the recipe, but it doesn't taste like the milkshake. I've tried the vanilla shake and I think it was because of the ice cream.

5 stars, for at least the strawberry shake. Today I compared a McDonalds shake with this. EXACT SAME THING. ALl the other shakes on this site are so-so, but this alone is worth buying the book, thanks so much Todd

This Recipe is so amazing.I didn't have any nesquik chocolate powder so this is what I did: I used 1 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream and 1/2 cup chocolate and it tastes exactly like a Mcdonalds Shake I love it!

Overall, this recipe was good (I tried the vanilla milkshake), but it definetly needs less sugar, maybe cute down a 1/2 tablespoon of sugar. Garnishing it with whipping cream is always nice! It's nice to sit down with a creamy cold drink on a hot day in Bangkok, Thailand

I made the vanilla shake using Splenda, fat-free ice cream, and skim milk, which is 100 calories & 0 grams of fat. It was delicious, but it was liquidy instead of thick. Maybe freezing the shake after blending it would've given it the right consistency? I enjoyed it, though.
