On an excursion through Maine I saw an interesting sign advertising a lobster sandwich at the world's most famous hamburger chain. Lobster? I just had to get a closer look. When I got inside a woman behind the counter told me that the sandwich is served only at select McDonald's locations, mostly in Main, for a limited-time only during the summer months. So I ordered one and sat down in the dining room to check it out. When I opened up the wrapper I found chilled fresh lobster chunks tossed in mayonnaise and piled on a hoagie roll with a leaf of lettuce  -- McDonald's version of a lobster roll. I took a bite and it tasted pretty good. I ate the whole thing, ordered another one, and got back on the road. Driving off I thought about how strange it was to have been eating lobster at McDonald's. I also thought about how easy it would be to make a clone recipe for that sandwich and post it on the website.

1/2 cup cooked Maine lobster meat (chilled and chopped)
1/2 tablespoon mayonnaise

Tried this Recipe! It Was Perfect. It made Me Miss Maine Even more. The only thing Was had to Toast the Roll. Great Job Guys keep it Up.

I haven't tried the recipe yet, but it sounds perfect! I moved to Florida from New Hampshire, where McDonald's also serves these lobster rolls. I love those puppies!
