Peruse a menu at one of the 270-unit LongHorn Steakhouses located throughout the eastern half of the U.S. and you'll find this seasoning blend on battered onion petals, spicy fried shrimp, pork chops, and steaks. Just combine these eight common ingredients in the comfort of your home, and you will have quickly cloned a versatile seasoned salt that can be added to everything that needs flavor, from steaks to chicken to seafood. It's also good sprinkled over eggs, burgers, and even popcorn.

This is awesome! I've used it on a Pork Butt to make barbeque, Pork Ribs, Chicken, Baked Potatoes, hamburgers and everyone just raves about the flavor. Making a triple batch today so I don't run out!

Is very tasty and if you like it more spicy then add 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon more ground cayenne pepper depending on how hot you like it.

I am SO glad to find this! Once I discovered your site, I SPECIFICALLY looked for Longhorn's Prairie Dust. Thanks so much! I use a lot of different savoury mixes on popcorn that has been very lightly buttered. This will be a great addition!

This is the best! I have been roasting vegetables in olive oil and sprinkling with this mixture, it gives great flavor.

I sprinkled this on both sides of a London Broil and put it on the grill. Awesome flavor! I could see it working really well on burgers, chicken, pork...just about anything!

Great as a sprinkle-on, but also a spicy way to add flavor as rub. The mix is excellent in any Asian stir fry, too!!! Just add a little low salt soy sauce along with it. I even add the spice with the soy sauce and use it as a marinade with ribs and chicken.

I made this last night for the steaks we were having and it was divine. I even sprinkled it on the baked potato wedges. The entire family was raving about it. Thanks for the clone!!!!

I have wanted a good coating mix and this is great. I tried it on pork chops tonight and it was great. Can't wait to try it on onions.
