From 1990 to 1993, Little Caesar's sales growth ranked in the top five in the restaurant industry, accoring to Nations Restaurant News Magazine. As of 1993, the company had more than 4,800 outlets raking in $2.3 billion. Its no wonder that founder Michael Ilitch was able to purchase the Detroit Red Wings hockey team in 1982, and then the Detroit Tigers in 1992. Ilitch also owns several arenas and theaters, including the Second City comedy theater in Detroit.
The Crazy Sauce, basically souped up pizza sauce, is usually served with Crazy Bread, for dipping. If you're looking for the total Little Caesar's clone experience, check out the Crazy Bread clone recipe in More Top Secret Recipes.

2. When the sauce begins to bubble, reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring often.

I followed the poster's advice to add a little pinch of fennel. Well, I used anise. Same flavor. It was just the ticket. This sauce tastes great!

I can tell you for a fact that Caesar's sauce has fennel seed in it. Not much, cause it'll take over the whole taste. Try crushing just a little pinch into the sauce, and I think you'll have it.

The Crazy Sauce was too spicy. Too much black pepper. Cut it at least in half when preparing.

This was awesome. I made it last night. The only change was that I added more salt until it tasted right. I made some breadsticks and pizza bread. I think I will make some more this week to use with the Olive Garden Toasted Ravioli!

This is right on the money! I drink this stuff when we get pizza from Little Ceasar's so when I whipped up a batch of my own I was thrilled I could drink myself into a crazy sauce stupor without having to leave my house!

Very good and authentic. Also, I wanted to add, the description says Crazy Sauce is "souped up pizza sauce" but in reality, they use their plain old pizza sauce for "crazy sauce". I worked at a Little Caesars before I could even drive! The one I worked at was SO clean and neat. Not sure if they were all that way, but it would be nice if more restaurants were!

This recipe is right on the nose!! We make it in bulk and freeze it in smaller portions. This is also our pizza sauce base!
