Give this simple soup clone a shot and I guarantee you'll never again want to eat chicken soup from a can. The recipe is a breeze since you use pre-cut chicken fillets - rather than cutting up a whole chicken - and you don't have to create a stock from scratch. Swanson sells a 32-ounce carton of chicken broth that's the perfect amount 4 cups for this recipe.

This soup truly is wonderful my whole family enjoys it! I used 2 lbs of chicken breast rather then one, simply because I prefer all white meat when given a choice :-)

I have been trying out new recipes and this one is a keeper. I left out the noodles and added a bit of cornstarch to thicken (husband is diabetic) and it is DELISH. I used roasted chicken breast and a bit more celery + onion. Husband LOVES it! Husband gives it a 5.

Hot chicken noodle soup on a cold snowy day - thanks TSR! I only used one pound of chicken breast fillet and skipped the pound of thigh meat; one pound was definitely sufficient. It's MUCH better than canned soup!

This was great. It's fast and easy. I used the last of our Thanksgiving Turkey.

This recipe is excellent. I actually simmered for a couple of hours and used kloski noodles and it lost its soup texture but was more like chicken and noodles. My whole family loved it including my 2 and 4 year old daughters!

This is a very fast and tasty recipe. I will be passing this one along to a few people, that like homemade meals and don't have the time to cook. It is even easy enough for the beginner cook. I will definately be making this again, I used fresh egg noodles instead of the dry packaged ones.

This is a very best recipe. We like a little hot to our food. So someimes I had green chilis and I always add either chile powder or cayenne. Not much, just some. Excellent.

Excellent! Tastes almost like my homemade chicken soup, but the few added ingredients make it all the much better.

I've done mine this way for years, even cut the chickens head off. We are farmers...do 50 chickens a year for the freezer.

Sauteing the chicken and vegetables adds to the flavor. Using a roasted chicken also makes the flavor better.

I have been making this soup for years. I make up the recipe on my own. Only difference is that I used a whole chicken and boiled it. Otherwise its all the same. Very good soup.

I have been making this recipe for over 40 years. However, I do stew the whole chicken because I prefer my own seasoned chicken stock. I also add 2-3 garlic cloves to mine and sprinkle soup with parmesan or other grated cheese and serve w/homemade bread.

This soup is awesome. It's kinda how I make my soup except I boil the chicken to get the broth and I also use poultry seasoning in it for more flavor.

Good solid recipe. I sometimes substitute wild rice or other rices instead of the noodles. Nice job.

if you have the time....all you need is some chicken with bones and boil for at least an hour with onion, celery, carrot a bay leaf and a bit of wine or lemon, pinch of garlic and you won't need to add chicken broth...you'll have your very own. Strain and add into this recipe!

This sounds like the old time soup recipe. I can mine and have it on the shelf. I make my own noodles and throw them in after opening and heating this great broth. Yummy.
